What to know before you order

What determines the price of a website

A website price is not one number — it comes down to four things: how many pages, how custom the design is, what functionality is required and how much content needs preparing. A five-page business site with a clean design, a contact form and content management starts at 500 €. More pages, separate service sections, a blog or a second language raise the price in proportion to scope.

The expensive part is rarely the design — it is functionality that has to actually do something: booking systems with calendars, payments, integrations with accounting software or a CRM. That is why we only fix a price after a conversation; without one, any number would be a guess. The proposal shows what each part costs separately, so you can decide what to build now and what to postpone to a second phase.

The price does not move once work starts. We do not bill hourly, so there is no risk of the project quietly inflating. If you want something new mid-project, we quote it separately and you decide — but you will never receive an invoice for something you did not order.

What is included and what costs extra

The agreed price covers design, development, content loading, mobile adaptation, technical SEO groundwork, an SSL certificate, a content management system, training and a 180-day guarantee. In other words, once the site launches you do not need to buy anything else to keep it running.

Only three recurring costs are billed separately, and they are yours rather than ours: the domain (roughly 10–15 € a year), hosting (from 5 € a month depending on load) and, if needed, professional photography or copywriting. We can arrange these or you can — either way the invoice comes directly from the supplier, with no markup from us.

What we deliberately avoid is locking you in. The domain is registered in your name, the hosting account is yours, and all code and access is handed over. If you ever want to work with a different developer, they will not need to ask us for anything.

WordPress or a custom build?

This comes up in almost every conversation, and there is no universally right answer. WordPress makes sense when content changes often, you need a blog, many pages or standard functionality — it is cheaper up front and plenty of people know how to run it. The downside: updates need maintaining, and a pile of plugins slows the site down.

A custom build (we use Next.js) makes sense when speed, security and non-standard logic matter — calculators, bookings with your own rules, integrations. Such a site loads almost instantly, is practically impossible to compromise through a plugin and needs no monthly maintenance. It costs more initially but is often cheaper over a few years.

During the consultation we say which option is more sensible in your case, even when that means a simpler and cheaper project.

The technical foundation you do not see

A beautiful site that takes four seconds to load loses roughly half its mobile visitors before they see anything. So every project is built to meet Google Core Web Vitals: optimised images, restrained scripts, modern formats and caching. Speed is not an add-on here — it is the baseline.

The same goes for visibility. From day one we set up heading structure, meta data, sitemap, robots.txt, canonical links and schema.org markup so Google understands who you are and what you offer. This is not an SEO service and it guarantees no ranking — it is the foundation without which any later SEO effort fails.

On the security side: SSL, form spam protection, backups and separate access credentials. If the site collects customer data, we prepare a privacy policy and cookie consent compliant with GDPR — in Lithuania this is enforced and fined.

The mistakes that stop a site paying for itself

The most common one: the site talks about the company instead of the customer’s problem. Within five seconds a visitor must understand what you will do for them and roughly what it costs. “We are a reliable company established in 2010” does not say that.

Second: no obvious next step. If the only way to get in touch is an email address in the footer, most people simply close the tab. Every page needs one clear action — call, fill in a form, book.

Third: launch it and forget it. Google favours sites that stay alive: new work added, fresh copy, updated prices. If not a single word has changed in two years, a competitor who adds something monthly will overtake you even with a worse design. That is why we treat training you to edit content as part of the project, not an extra.

What to prepare before starting

Projects move fastest when three things exist up front: a list of services with short descriptions, a logo with brand colours (if you have one) and 10–20 good photographs. Missing content is not a blocker — we can write the copy together, it just adds roughly a week.

It also helps to note 3–5 websites you like and say specifically why. That alone can save an entire design review round. A list of competitors is useful too — we look at what they do well and what can be done better.

FAQ

Common questions about website development.

Ask a question

How much does a website cost?

We build websites from 500 €. The exact price is quoted after a free consultation and written into the contract — it does not change during the project, with no hourly billing or hidden fees. The final figure depends on the number of pages, functionality and the amount of content.

How long does it take?

A professional website usually launches within 2–4 weeks. The timeline depends on scope and on how quickly we receive content — copy and photographs. The specific date goes into the contract alongside the fixed price.

Will I be able to edit the content myself?

Yes. Every site ships with a content management system and we train you to change text, images and add new pages. You will not need to pay a developer for small edits.

Will the site be visible on Google?

Yes. We handle the technical SEO groundwork from day one: clean structure, speed, meta data and mobile adaptation. That is the foundation Google needs to find and show your site — rankings then build over several months.

Will it work on mobile?

Yes. Every site is built for phones, tablets and desktops. More than half of visitors in Lithuania browse on a phone, so we design the mobile version first.

What happens after launch?

The first 180 days are covered by a guarantee — any issues we find are fixed at no extra charge. After that you can choose a support plan or manage it yourself: all code and access is handed over to you.

How much are the domain and hosting?

The domain is roughly 10–15 € a year and hosting starts at 5 € a month depending on traffic. These are not included in the website price because they are recurring and paid directly to the supplier, with no markup from us. We register them in your name so everything stays your property.

Do I need copy and photographs ready?

No, but the project moves faster with them. If content is missing we write the copy together based on our conversation, and for images we suggest a photographer or select quality licensed ones. That adds roughly a week to the timeline.

How does a Next.js site differ from WordPress?

WordPress is more convenient when content changes often and you need a blog, but it requires constant updates and plugins slow it down. A Next.js site loads considerably faster, is more secure and needs no monthly maintenance, though it costs more initially. We advise which fits your case during the consultation.

Who owns the code and the access?

You do. The domain is registered in your name, the hosting account is yours, and all code and admin access is handed over after launch. If you ever want to work with another developer, they will not need anything from us.

Will the site comply with GDPR?

Yes. If the site collects customer data or uses analytics, we prepare a privacy policy and a cookie consent banner. Analytics only activates after the visitor consents — in Lithuania this is enforced and violations are fined.
